Free Google Ads Account Setup From The Start to Great Results in 2023!

  1. Select your campaign type to start. First, We recommend the “Search Network only” option to start, then give your Adwords campaign a name. Remove the tick next to “Include search partners” (you can always change this later).
  2. Choose the geographic location where you’d like ads to show. You have 2 options Radius or Location targeting, Next decide how large or small a geographic area you want to target. You can choose whole countries, regions of countries, let’s say Ireland. You can also choose custom geographic areas, or the distance of a set number of miles or kilometers around a specific area. Click “Let me choose” then search for the most appropriate area for your ads to show, let’s say “Dublin”
  3. Choose your “bid strategy,” and set your daily budget. Change the default “Bid strategy” to “I’ll manually set my bids for clicks.” This gives you more control and will help you learn AdWords at a greater level of understanding at a far cheaper cost per click (CPC). You can always change to one of the many automatic options Google Ads offers later.
  4. Ignore the “Ad Extensions” for now. This is an important part of any campaign, but leave this for now and add these later after you’ve finished all steps to set up. Click “Save and continue.”
  5. Create your first ad group, and write your first ad. More people click on ads when the headline includes your keyword/s they’re searching for. So use your keywords in the headline title when you can. You are limited to 25 characters here, so for some search terms, you’ll need to use abbreviations or shorter synonyms.

Google Ads Learning Mode What is it?

For the first 7 -14 days Google Ads learning mode is automatic, so you can see how many impressions your ads have displayed for on search results, How many clicks you have had (This will be low don’t get disheartened) Average position of your Ads came up on search results for the bid you have set.

You can now increase or decrease the max cost per click bids (Max CPC) to push your adverts up or down on search results, It will also show your quality score for your keywords (Very important 1-10) we will go into this later.

Why choose where your Google Ads Should Show

To explain this I have seen many businesses adverts being displayed in locations they don’t do business for example a taxi company based in London using a a keyword search term “Fast Taxi Service” with there ads being displayed in Manchester, what is the chance of the taxi company getting the business? They should have Radius targeting only not UK country location, this hemorrhages money from there Google Ads Account as it will be clicked on but with no ROI made (Conversion),

Google Adwords Setup daily budget is Very important and the maximum that Google is authorized to charge you per day x 31.4 per month, Chances are you’ll hit that maximum cost most days. Google offers several payment options: “You can make payments before your ads show (manual payments) or make payments after your ads show, and have those payments made automatically (automatic payments credit card). After 3 – 6 months Some businesses are also eligible for a Google credit line (monthly invoicing).”

We don’t ask or request your email Address like other websites

Set your daily budget so that if you screw up big-time, your account won’t get drained empty. You can always come back and increase it, but it’s important to have set safety net for Google Adwords Account setup.

Example:

PPC Management Services” instead of “Pay Per Click Management Services” (To Long)

The second and third lines allow for 35 characters of text each, you’ll be more successful if you describe the benefits on the second line, followed by a promotion or offer or (call to action) on the third line.

Example:

PPC Management UK & Ireland‎                          <– Head Line (Keyword: PPC Management)

www.websitebuilders.ie/PPC_Management‎         <–  Display URL
Full PPC Management Solutions                                <–  2nd Line Text
PPC Setup, Increase Web Traffic €99                            <–  3rd Line Text

Even though Google places the field for your display URL—the web address people see in your ad—below your main ad copy here, when your ad displays on the search results page, its URL will actually show up right below your headline. The display URL does not have to be the same as the destination URL on your site.

The last line is the actual destination URL, or your real chosen landing page on your website. You can also use a tracking link here.

Quick Google AdS Account Setup Template in Brief:

Headline: 25 characters of text         PPC Management Ireland‎

2nd line: Max to 35 characters          Full PPC Management Solutions

3rd line: Max to 35 characters           PPC Setup, Increase Web Traffic €99

4th line: your Display URL                 www.WebsiteBuilders.ie/PPC_Management

  1. Insert your keywords into the keyword field in your account. Type your keywords in. Start with just one set. When you set up a Google Adwords PPC Account it’s not a good idea to insert hundreds of keywords, To Start with only 10 – 20 of most important ones to you, and work from there, DONT forget the negative keywords or it could cost you dearly with little results.

  1. Set your maximum cost-per-click. (CPC) Your maximum cost-per-click now (called your “default bid”), is the maximum you are prepared to pay per click for all the keywords individually in that campaign, But understand this: Every keyword is theoretically a different market keyword search term, which means that each of your major keywords will need a bid price setup of its own. Google will let you set individual bids for each keyword later.

If your budget is €10 per day instead of, €50 per day, you are better to bid on low-cost more targeted keywords so that your ad can be seen by as many potential new customers as possible. Due to the limitations of any budget, if you’re going after high-priced keywords (Generic broad match), you’ll exhaust your budget quickly and your ads will only be seen part of the day rather than all day and not necessarily to your target market.

Google Ads Call Extensions Guide

Call extensions let you add phone numbers to your ads, which can significantly increase click-through rates.
When your call extensions appear, people can tap or click a button to call your business directly.
That means more customer engagement with your ads and more chances for you to get and track your conversions

Google Ads Sitelink Extension Guide

This is a Google Ads feature that shows extra business information with your ad, like an address ,Special Offer, New Service or product, store rating, or more webpage links to existing pages on your website, and can increase your click through rate and conversions but make sure you send the links to the right page on your website not the home page.

  1. Review everything. Double-check everything your ad text keywords match type cost per click and daily budget to be sure they’re the best possible match for your business. Check your cost-per-click amount to be sure you get the positions on Google you want. Double check your daily budget to be sure so you don’t unwittingly drain your bank account very fast. I have seen cost per click mistakes many times one was set at €09.00 (€9.00) cost per click bid live, instead of €00.90 (€0.90c) cost per click.

    9.  Enter your billing information. Your ads will start showing as soon as you confirm your payment information and the ads and keywords are approved by Google, Now you’re Google adwords account setup is done.
